MAGGIE MEIJUN Based in London 

Maggie is a photographer with a rebellious spirit. Her works feature rich visual colors and a stark contrast in emotional expression, adeptly guiding models to highlight their individuality and genuine emotional connections. Her imagery often carries a cinematic narrative quality.

She is more adept at observing the emotions between characters and the consequences of various psychological extensions, she accepts the ever-changing world and the diversity of spiritual outlooks, and she boldly understands that different spiritual outlooks lead to different lifestyles and outcomes. This fusion of qualities, as well as a sense of separation and contrast between subject matter and tradition, is evident in her work.​
 

She utilises fashion photography and narrative techniques to create visually rich work that keenly observes and discusses the events and states of life. Notable works include ‘Exquisite Egoism’ and ‘Morality Play’, both of which were born out of a climate of ‘hypocrisy and irony’. In addition, she made the work ‘Finding Hormones’ in a very unhealthy relationship, exploring the status of gender relations and love in her time.

In addition to her photographic works, Maggie also has experience in art installation work ‘Kaleidoscope’ and short film directing, ‘Time Manager’. In recent years, she has been actively engaged in commercial fashion photography in China, and pursued a postgraduate programme in commercial photography at LCC, University of the Arts, London, UK.​
 

Maggie is committed to combining images with business and endeavours to blend visual arts with commercial fashion elements. She hopes to further explore the boundaries between photographic narrative and the limits of psychological effect in her future work.
